SCIAP project in India is developed and being implemented by UNIDO and UN-Habitat, in partnerships with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) of the Government of India.
To strengthen national governments and local urban institutions to center LNOB (inclusion, disability and safety) in national policies, and facilitate evidence-based localization of national policies and SDGs 11 & 6 in urban areas.
UN-Habitat HQ in collaboration with its country offices in Ethiopia and India is working in 6 target cities to support cities in assessing waste management status including two Indian coastal cities namely, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram.
